In this webinar, a 5G!Drones project overview, its final results and the lessons learned were presented. 5G!Drones partner Orange France participated in a panel discussion at the Hub Drone Systematics (23 September 2022) on the benefits of 5G for the drone ecosystems. On September 8th the 5G!Drones showcasing event took place in front of the public at the Egaleo Municipal stadium in Athens, Greece! The use case #4 was showcased: Connectivity during crowded events. Involved partners: NCSRD, Cosmote, INFOLYSIS, MoE, CAFA Tech, Hepta, UML, Frequentis and RobotsExpert. Briefing and safety training took place before getting on the field. Dr. Harilaos Koumaras (NCSRD), 5G!Drones partner, participated at the NCSRD 57th Summer School on 12th July 2022, discussing and presenting the findings and the lessons learnt from 5G!Drones project. This presentation was made in Greek in front of an audience of Greek undergraduate students and was entitled “5G Programmability Training”.

Gokul Srinivasan, robots.expert, 5G!Drones partner, presented the 5G!Drones and its upcoming trials during the Interpol Drone Expert summit in Oslo. Besides the presentation, Gokul was also interviewed by the INTERPOL communications team and he spoke about 5GDrones project, and the upcoming trials in Egaleo stadium, in the context of use of drones and 5G for police and first responders. 5G!Drones paper has been accepted to the 5G-PINE workshop, AIAI 2022 conference (17-20 June 2022). In specific 5G!Drones authors Lechosław Tomaszewski, Robert Kołakowski, Mirosław Zagórda submitted the workshop paper entitled “Application of mobile networks (5G and beyond) in precision agriculture” to 5G-PINE workshop in AIAI 2022 conference (17-20 June 2022).
