5G!Drones project is focusing on bringing a massive ecosystem together to demonstrate various use cases involving 5G technology, Unmanned Aerial Systems, UTM and relevant technologies. The consortium consists of 20 partners from 8 European countries, ranging from SMEs to large corporates, municipalities, and research organizations. The 5GDRONES is focused on validating and defining key KPIs for implementing 5G, not only for testing and understanding the capabilities of 5G, but for defining also the business case for adopting this technology and spotting the best processes/standards for implementing it in the UAV industry.
5G!Drones, a European project bringing together industrialists, network operators and research centers, was launched in June 2019 for a three-year period.
