The 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association (6G-IA) is the voice of European Industry and Research for next generation networks and services. Its primary objective is to contribute to Europe’s leadership on 5G, beyond 5G and SNS/6G research. The 6G-IA represents the private side in both the 5G Public Private Partnership (5G-PPP) and the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU).

6G SNS IA report

The Member State Initiatives Subgroup (MSI) of the 6G-IA Vision and Societal Challenges WG has released the report “5G, beyond 5G, and 6G Activities Promoted by Member States”. The document reports that, as of today, all MSs have developed strategies or roadmaps for 5G deployment and their evolution towards B5G/6G networks in the 2020-2025 time frame. 5G!Drones trials at Eurecom, France

Trials at Eurecom premises, Campus SophiaTech, Sophia Antipolis, France (16-18 December 2021). Participating partners EUR, AIR, INV, CAF, UML, RXB, FRQ. Capabilities such as search and rescue operations, mission critical systems (AIR) and sending C2 link over 5G SA were demonstrated. 5G SA network to control a drone was used for the first time in the world!
